Coffee, great conversation and a deep sense of community are on offer from a group that meets weekly in my constituency.
Bamber Bridge Women’s Shed invited me along to one of their meetings and I had a lovely afternoon meeting everyone.
The group was set up in late 2025 by Councillor Emma Stevens, who wanted to provide a group for women that didn’t centre around a hobby or activity.
Women’s Shed meets every Sunday from 2pm-4pm for drinks and a chat for anyone who wants to go along. There are also walks, meals out and occasional guest talks, including a recent visit from a representative of Soroptimist International Preston. The aim is to bring women from all walks of life together and build a sense of community and support.
