I’m keen to work closely with businesses so I can share their experiences with the government.
We have a strong business community in this part of Lancashire so I was glad that some of them could meet with me as part of a North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce event.
The events involved representatives of Clegg’s Chilled Food Service, Baxi UK, Brabners, Preston College, Forepoint and Story Homes, brought together by the Chamber as part of their series of round tables with Lancashire MPs.
I appreciated their honesty over issues like apprenticeships, rising fuel prices and operating costs.
I’ll be feeding back their thoughts on the impact on their businesses and their supply chains to government.
