We, the undersigned, call on Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board to protect services at Longridge Community Hospital.
This follows the temporary closure of inpatient services in November 2025 and the relocation of beds to Chorley Hospital in December.
Longridge Community Hospital serves patients in a wide geographical rural and semi-rural area, many of which need health services within easy reach of their homes. The temporary relocation has placed strain on many residents and left people fearful of the future of health services in the Longridge area.
We urge the ICB to commit to a full reopening of the hospital to provide health services to benefit the community.
We ask that fire safety concerns are addressed promptly and a timeline provided to reassure residents when to expect a conclusion to their concerns.
